6th Grade Personal License Plate/Geography Project - FISK & Hampton
All three drafts for the license plate project were due last Thursday. This week we will strictly be working on final pieces for the three states chosen. Make sure you have your materials in class and start the third quarter prepared!
7th Grade Social Action Poster Project - FAMU & Howard

| Posters bring awareness. What's your issue? |
Continue to bring in your resource material for the social action posters. Have your thumbnail sketches and ideas in class. Remember, this project is also going to count as an ELA grade in Quarter 3.
5th Grade Sculptors - Tuskegee and Xavier
Scholars will complete their self-portrait sculptures based on Alexander Calder and continue with vocabulary quizzes this week.
8th Grade Graphic Novel Projects
The completed Graphic Novel Project will be due Monday, February 2nd. Criteria for the project will be reiterated in class. Here is the checklist:
- Story will have a beginning, middle and end
- Story must make sense
- Include ALL of the following: Dialogue boxes, at least 3 narrative boxes, panels
- At least 3 characters
- Between 3-4 pages (not including a cover page)
- Cover page (not due February 2nd)
