5th Grade Sculptors

Self-Portrait wire sculptures will be completed this week and the drawn contour line portraits are DUE Monday (Xavier) and Tuesday (Tuskegee).  The sculptures have started to be hung in our CPCS hallways and they look amazing!

6th Grade U.S. Travelers

License plates will be due this week.  We will work hard to complete all three personalized designs.  The watercolor challenge last week is all going to come together.  There will not be any vocabulary tests this week so the License plates will be completed before the Winter Holiday Break.

7th Grade Social Activists

Social action posters will be due by the end of class on Friday.  Things to keep in mind for this project:  Must have text and images (drawn, collaged, photographs), work from background to middle ground, to foreground.  It's important to design the text so it is easy to read & the font matches the theme.

8th Grade Graphic Novelists

Spelman: Graphic Novel Covers continue.  We will add color this week to the novels and the covers IN class.  Morehouse, Graphic Novels are due at the top of class on Tuesday.  Be on time because every day it is late, 5 points are deducted.  Vocabulary for this week:

MORE 8th Grade Info about Class Dojo

Class Dojo weekly goal runs from Mondays through Fridays (end of day).  Those who earn incentives will be informed the following Monday.  15 points per week will keep 8th graders on track for Senior activities (the dance, the activities involved with all things "Senior".  16-20 points are awarded a dress down pass for the following week (Passes will be given).  Scholars who earn 21-25 points earn a chaperoned bodega lunch and a dress down pass for a day of your choice.  Scholars who earn 30+ points will earn a pizza party, dress down and other prizes TBA (to be announced).
