March (Art) Madness

FOR REAL, THOUGH.

8th Grade

Graphic Novels were DUE last week.  Everyday they are late, 5 points are deducted.  This week we will complete by adding color and finishing preparation for publishing.  There are some SPELMAN AND MOREHOUSE SCHOLARS who owe me your graphic novels still and some sort of proof that you are working on them.

7th Grade

Essay is due WEDNESDAY, March 4th, 2015.  Information is below:
Social Action Poster Project Response Essay
Cover all of these points in your essay:
q  What is your connection to the issue in your poster?  What about the issue inspired you?
q  What does this art mean? Why did you choose certain elements of your poster (why did you choose to draw/collage/paint your poster)?
q  How does your poster convey the message you are trying to send?  BE SPECIFIC and give examples.
q  What did you enjoy about the project?  What would you change about the project? 

Formats you can use:
Free-form essay                                 
Persuasion piece (argumentative essay like a letter to the Mayor or opponents to the issue)

PAINTING LICENSES ARE COMING.  

6th Grade

We complete painting the background of your license plates this week!  
YOU MUST HAVE THEM TO PAINT THEM!  COME PREPARED OR YOUR GRADE SUFFERS AND YOU FALL BEHIND...DON'T BE THAT PERSON!  Foreground objects with ALL criteria (see previous posts) will be completed this week as well.  KEEP STUDYING THE STATES...QUIZZES CONTINUE!

5th Grade

Xavier Calder Video questions (from the last post) homework DUE MONDAY.
Tuskegee - HAND IN YOUR CONTOUR LINE SELF PORTRAITS TUESDAY.  They are going up with your sculptures and we need them!
We begin our new project this week.  Think Comics!  Think Stories!  Think about something that happened in your life that you want to share through a comic!
